Good hiking conditions, especially on the mowed trails (see below). Unmowed trails have tall grasses (knee high, waist high, or taller).

With ongoing very dry conditions, overall insect activity is low.

Mowing of the East Side trails began June 27th - look at the mowing map (below).

The Rusk County Forestry Department mowed most of the West Side trails in August. West Side trails not mowed = F-G-H-I, and Y-Z.
